The Human Natural Resources Development Foundation (HNRDF), in collaboration with the Neeruchelvam Trust, successfully conducted a program on May 5th, 2024, as part of their ongoing series of sensitization programs focused on Empowerment of Marginalized Community Groups and Service Providers. This specific program targeted officers from the Police Inservice Training Institute – Southern Range.
The program aimed to equip these officers, who are undergoing further training for active duty, with a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities. Dr. Janaki Vidanapathirana, Director/Planning, Ministry of Health, provided valuable insights and resources on the topic. Additionally, Ms. Saheshi Nuradha Jayasekara shared her experiences working within these communities.
This initiative highlights HNRDF’s commitment to fostering inclusive community service. Assistant Superintendent of Police Mrs. Damayanthi expressed her appreciation for the program, acknowledging the importance of equipping officers with the knowledge and sensitivity required to better serve all members of the Galle community.

සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍යංශයේ අධ්‍යක්ෂ සැලසුම් විශේෂඥ වෛද්‍ය ජානකී විදානපතිරණ මහත්මිය විසින් සම්පත්දායකත්වය සැපයූ අතර සහේෂි නුරාධා ජයසේකර මෙනවිය විසින් ප්‍රජා අත්දැකීම් හුවමාරුව සිදුකරනු ලැබුවාය. එහිදී අදහස් දක්වමින් සහකාර පොලිස් අධිකාරී දමයන්ති මහත්මිය ප්‍රකාශ කළේ සමාජය තුළ කතිකාවක් නිර්මාණය වී ඇති විෂයක් පිළිබඳව පොලිස් ප්‍රජාව යාවත්කාලීන කිරීම සහ සංවේදී කරලීම සඳහා මෙම වැඩසටහන වඩාත් ඵලදායීවන බවයි.
