The Human and Natural Resources Development Foundation (HNRDF) conducted a program aimed at establishing a network of professional service providers in the Galle district. This initiative focused on sensitizing these providers about the challenges faced by marginalized communities, particularly the transgender community, in terms of their scientific background and social integration. The program aimed to foster a more community-friendly environment where these groups have access to essential services.
Representatives from various sectors participated, including the Labor Department, School Service Drivers Association, Road Passenger Transport Authority, Tricycle Drivers’ Association, and the Galle Commercial Association. The program received valuable support from Mrs. Thushari Chandrasekara, the Chief Counseling Officer of the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs.
Discussions addressed the significant barriers faced by the transgender community and other marginalized women in accessing professional services and employment opportunities. Participants highlighted the limitations posed by these communities’ qualifications and the lack of scientific understanding or information about their experiences. This, they noted, had unfortunately led to mischaracterizations and social stigma. The program emphasized the importance of creating awareness and fostering a more inclusive environment, underscoring the timeliness of this initiative.
HNRDF ගාල්ලේ ආන්තික ප්‍රජාවන් සඳහා ඇතුළත් පරිසරය පෝෂණය කරයි
මානව හා ස්වභාවික සම්පත් සංවර්ධන පදනම (HNRDF) විසින් ගාල්ල දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ වෘත්තීය සේවා සපයන්නන්ගේ ජාලයක් පිහිටුවීමේ අරමුණින් වැඩසටහනක් පවත්වන ලදී. මෙම මුලපිරීම මගින් ආන්තික ප්‍රජාවන්, විශේෂයෙන් සංක්‍රාන්ති ලිංගික ප්‍රජාව, ඔවුන්ගේ විද්‍යාත්මක පසුබිම සහ සමාජ ඒකාබද්ධතාවය අනුව මුහුණ දෙන අභියෝග පිළිබඳව මෙම සැපයුම්කරුවන්ට සංවේදී කිරීම කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරන ලදී. මෙම වැඩසටහන මගින් මෙම කණ්ඩායම්වලට අත්‍යාවශ්‍ය සේවාවන් සඳහා ප්‍රවේශය ඇති වඩාත් ප්‍රජා හිතකාමී පරිසරයක් ඇති කිරීම අරමුණු කර ඇත.
කම්කරු දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව, පාසල් සේවා රියදුරන්ගේ සංගමය, මාර්ගස්ථ මගී ප්‍රවාහන අධිකාරිය, ත්‍රිරෝද රථ රියදුරන්ගේ සංගමය, ගාල්ල වාණිජ සංගමය ඇතුළු විවිධ ක්ෂේත්‍ර නියෝජනය කරමින් නියෝජිතයෝ සහභාගි වූහ. මෙම වැඩසටහන සඳහා කාන්තා හා ළමා කටයුතු අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ප්‍රධාන උපදේශන නිලධාරිනී තුෂාරි චන්ද්‍රසේකර මහත්මියගෙන් අගනා සහයෝගයක් ලැබිණි.
සංක්‍රාන්ති ලිංගික ප්‍රජාව සහ අනෙකුත් ආන්තික කාන්තාවන් වෘත්තීය සේවා සහ රැකියා අවස්ථා වෙත ප්‍රවේශ වීමේදී මුහුණ දෙන සැලකිය යුතු බාධාවන් පිළිබඳව සාකච්ඡා කරන ලදී. සහභාගිවන්නන් මෙම ප්‍රජාවන්ගේ සුදුසුකම් සහ ඔවුන්ගේ අත්දැකීම් පිළිබඳ විද්‍යාත්මක අවබෝධය හෝ තොරතුරු නොමැතිකම මගින් ඇති කරන ලද සීමාවන් ඉස්මතු කරන ලදී. මෙය අවාසනාවන්ත ලෙස වැරදි චරිත නිරූපණයන් සහ සමාජ අපකීර්තියට හේතු වී ඇති බව ඔවුහු සඳහන් කළහ. මෙම වැඩසටහනේ කාලෝචිත බව අවධාරනය කරමින් දැනුවත් කිරීම සහ වඩාත් ඇතුළත් පරිසරයක් පෝෂණය කිරීමේ වැදගත්කම වැඩසටහන මගින් අවධාරණය කරන ලදී.
