Promoting Workplace Inclusion
On Wednesday, 18 March 2026, a workshop was held as part of the Pathways to Peace project, bringing together representatives from various companies. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the discrimination faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals, particularly in the workplace.
Many LGBTQIA+ persons continue to experience exclusion in professional environments. This includes discrimination on the work floor, unequal treatment, and even being denied job opportunities due to their identity. Addressing these issues is essential to creating more inclusive and respectful workplaces.

During the session, participants engaged in discussions and activities designed to build understanding and encourage more inclusive practices within their organisations. A particularly impactful part of the workshop was the presence of transgender individuals who shared their personal experiences. Their stories highlighted the challenges they face in everyday life, especially in accessing fair and equal employment opportunities.
By creating space for dialogue and learning, the workshop encouraged companies to reflect on their role in promoting equality and to take steps toward fostering safer and more inclusive working environments for all.
